About This Project
Religion has had a potential influence on human being’s life. The religious rites and rituals are highly diverse and varied. Iran’s Shia Muslims mourn for Imam Hossein in Moharram and Safar . The mourning rituals are held in various methods in different cities.
Sparging is one of rituals which is performed by the people of cities like Lorestan, Broujerd, Kermanshah, Kordestan and etc. in different mourning ceremonies such as the death event of a member of the family or in different mourning ceremonies.
They smear their faces and bodies and hold the mourning ceremony.
Clay is the symbol of highest degree of lamentation.
